Core Drill 36x50mm HSS-XE Monax Blue-Tech is manufactured from high-alloy HSS-XE high-speed steel. Combined with step-hardening technology and a TiAlN multi-layer coating, this ensures a cutting-edge hardness of up to 65 HRC and heat resistance up to 800°C. The wear-resistant Blue-Tech coating guarantees maximum tool life and edge hardness when drilling a wide variety of materials. To optimize cutting performance, Blue-Tech core drills are precision-ground, which significantly reduces friction losses during cutting. The drill is suitable for structural steels, non-ferrous metals, and occasional use in stainless steel. However, for optimal results when machining stainless steel, the carbide-tipped core drills from the Hard Tech series are recommended. The core drills feature a Weldon19 or Weldon32 shank and are compatible with most magnetic core drilling machines, such as BDS, Karnasch, Magtron, Rotabroach, AGP, FE, Alfra, and others.
