Ejector Pilot pin 7.98x106mm  is installed into the location hole of the cutting tool and serves several functions. It acts as a guide during tool positioning. As it is pushed back into the arbor during drilling, it opens the coolant valve supplying coolant to the cutting tool. Upon completion of the drilling operation, a return spring forces the pin back to its original position, ejecting the slug of material from the cutter while simultaneously closing the coolant supply valve.
